Supporting caudex development

The caudex is one of the defining characteristics of an Adenium. Its development depends on several factors working together, including genetics, plant age, root health, growing medium, water management, light and nutrition.

A suitable nutritional programme can support the plant’s overall growth and biomass accumulation, but nutrition alone cannot determine caudex shape or size.

For this reason, Adenium Special should be used alongside:

Supporting flowering

Flowering requires adequate plant reserves and suitable environmental conditions. Nutritional support is particularly relevant when Adeniums are actively growing and preparing for or producing flowers.

Adenium Special can be incorporated into the plant’s nutritional programme during active growth and flowering preparation.

Avoid excessive application immediately before or during periods of environmental stress.

Frequency

Use periodically during active growth rather than continuously throughout the year. Reduce or suspend nutritional applications when the plant is dormant or experiencing unsuitable growing conditions.

·       Do not exceed the recommended quantity.

·       Do not apply to severely stressed, dehydrated or waterlogged plants.
