Pigeon Pea / Toor Shravani Early (Mahalaxmi Seeds)

Climate and Soil:
Pigeon pea grows well in warm climates. Well-drained loamy soil is ideal. Soil pH should be 6.5–7.5.

Season of Sowing
Kharif: June–July

Seed Rate: 6–8 Kg per acre

Seed Treatment: Treat seeds with Rhizobium culture @ 20 g/kg seed and Trichoderma viride @ 4 g/kg seed.

Spacing:
 Row to row: 90 cm
Plant to plant: 30 cm

Manures and Fertilizers:
Apply FYM 8–10 tonnes per acre. Nitrogen: 20 kg per acre. Phosphorus: 40 kg per acre. Apply full dose as basal.

Irrigation:
Provide irrigation at flowering and pod formation stages if required.

Harvesting:
 Harvest crop when pods turn brown and dry.

Yield: 8–10 quintals per acre
