Description:

Dr. Bacto’s Vertigo is an eco-friendly biological insecticide based on Verticillium lecanii on highly effective in the control of insects.

Mode of Action:
When the selective spores of Verticillium lecanii come in contact with the insect, attaches to the cuticle of the insect. They produce hyphae from germinating spores that penetrate the outer protective layer (integument) of the insect body thereby infecting it. It secretes some specific enzymes and leads to the death of insects gradually in favorable conditions. The spores of this fungus when come in contact with the cuticle of target insects, germinates and grow directly through the cuticle to the inner body of their host. draining the nutrients of insect eventfully results in the killing of insects.

Vertigo effectively controls most of the soft-bodied sucking insects like whitefly, aphids, thrips, and mealy bug.
